First of all, thank you for the awesome new Excel copy and paste feature.
Also the customer likes it!
Now the question came up if copy and paste of several columns would also work within ONE DATA.
Somehow it does, but the columns get transformed to rows (see screenshot).
Would it would be possible to extend the feature to also work within Apps
Hello Jakob,
thank you for this insight.
First investigations brought up that the browser default for copying such entries separates those via a new line indication, which results to your shown behaviour. The values get entered as new rows. To change this the browser default behaviour needs to be overwritten.
Product Management for Apps will consider this as a potential future improvement.
Best regards,
Johannes
Hi all,
where in ONE DATA do I find such a โCopy from Excelโ feature?
Is it in Custom-Input-Table processors or when editing a data-table in the backend?
Did I understand correctly, that this is not possible yet in an editable-table element in Apps or is this already included in one of the releases this year?
Thanks
Christoph
Hey Christoph,
the gif was created based on a editable table in apps.
Here you can copy and paste from excel.
It also works for multiple lines.
If you want further insights or a small demo contact me directly
