Difference between XML / JSON Parsing Processor v1.1 and v.1.2

Dear OD users,

there is a XML / JSON Parsing v1.1 and a XML / JSON Parsing v1.2 processor. V1.1 is not marked as deprecated, so I wonder which one should we use in general/future? Are there any reasons to use v1.1 instead of v1.2?

I once tested the v1.2 and think it has no disadvantages compared to v1.1

1.2 is a “better” version of the parsing processor with some improvements. if you’re interested, you can read about those improvements here :

To add up what @emanuel.berndl answered:

Both versions of the processors still exist because it was not possible to do a proper migration. Just migrating from 1.1 to 1.2 everywhere would break some existing workflows.
